BECOME A MODEL
Q&A
Before you apply to become a model, it is important that you consider the following:
Do you want to be a model?
Do you feel comfortable in front of a camera?
Do you have the time and ability to work as a model?
Can you take modelling assignments at short notice?
Are you flexible in terms of geography and location?
Are you prepared for rejection and periods without bookings? Most models, especially at the start, work irregularly.
Can you take direction and adapt quickly on set? Clients often expect changes in posing, expression, or energy within minutes.
Are you comfortable working with new people and in unfamiliar environments? Shoots often involve long days and different teams.
Do you understand that modeling is freelance work? Income can be inconsistent, and you are responsible for managing your availability and commitments.
Are you willing to maintain your appearance in a healthy and responsible way? This includes skincare, fitness, and general wellbeing.
Do you understand professional boundaries and the importance of contracts and consent?
Are you patient and realistic about progress? Many models build sustainable careers over several years.
Do you have realistic expectations about income and visibility? Most work is commercial or editorial and does not lead to public recognition.

We do not charge any registration fees, monthly fees, or sign-up costs. We only earn when you are booked and paid. Depending on the type of Model Agreement, an agency fee applies. This means our income is directly linked to your work and your success.
In professional modeling industry, creating a strong initial portfolio is an essential part of getting started. At Voss, we keep our structure straightforward: there are no ongoing fees, no application charges, and no signing costs.
The one-time sedcard fee covers the full production of your professional portfolio shoot - including studio, styling, hair & makeup, photography, posing direction and retouching - to ensure that your images meet industry standards and can be presented to clients right away.
For new models, the New Faces Casting Day fee includes both the sedcard production and access to the Model Academy. The Model Academy prepares you for real working conditions. You learn how castings work, how to move and pose, how to present yourself professionally, and what clients expect on set.
Covering these costs allows you to invest in your own foundation while we focus on representation, promotion, and securing paid work for you.
The New Faces Casting Day fee is a one-time investment in your professional setup. It covers the creation of industry-ready portfolio images that can be presented to clients immediately. This includes studio use, styling, hair and makeup, professional photography, posing guidance, and retouching.
The total cost to take part in the New Faces Casting Day is €250.
To secure your place, you pay a deposit of €150.
Yes. You can apply to Diversecity Models with your existing professional portfolio.
Your portfolio should meet professional model shoot standards. Images need to be well lit, sharp, and minimally retouched. Heavy edits or filters are not accepted.
Recent polaroids are required. These should be natural, unedited, and clearly show your face and body.
Sedcard photos should also be included. These images help show your potential for commercial and fashion work.
If your portfolio meets these requirements, you do not need to participate in our New Faces Casting Day - unless you choose to do so :)
At Diversecity Models, we work with a selective and carefully managed roster. This allows us to support you on an individual level and present you consistently to the right clients. Your professional presentation plays a key role in that process.
A high-quality sedcard gives clients a clear and accurate first impression of you. It ensures your images are consistent, current, and aligned with industry expectations. This is why the sedcard shoot is part of our representation process. It allows us to submit you confidently for castings and client requests from the start.
The fee covers all production elements involved in creating your sedcard. This includes studio access, professional styling, hair and makeup, photography, image retouching, and on-set guidance. There are no hidden or recurring costs. Our representation is based on an agency fee that depends on the type of Model Agreement, and we only earn when you are booked and paid.
Many models start with little or no experience, and this is completely normal. During your shoot, you receive clear and practical guidance throughout the process. You are shown how to pose, how to work with facial expressions, how to position your body, and how to move naturally in front of the camera.
As part of the Model Academy, you also take part in a Posing Workshop led by a professional photographer. This workshop focuses on understanding angles, movement, and camera awareness. You also join a Runway Workshop with a professional runway coach, where you learn how to walk, turn, and present yourself confidently.
Everything is explained step by step so you feel comfortable and supported. You are not expected to know how to pose in advance. You arrive as you are, and you are guided from the first image to the last.
Many models have experienced agencies that charge monthly or yearly fees. At Diversecity Models, we take a different approach based on fairness and long-term collaboration.
There are no ongoing or recurring costs. We only earn when you are booked and paid, and an agency fee applies depending on the type of Model Agreement.
The investment in the Model Academy is covered by us. All models who have participated in the New Faces Casting Day are invited to join the Model Academy to strengthen and consolidate their skills as professional models. Our focus remains on proper representation, continuous development, and securing paid opportunities for you.
Yes. You keep and can use your portfolio images.
The images from your sedcard shoot belong to your professional portfolio. You are free to use them for your own purposes, including social media, personal promotion, and future applications.
At the same time, we use these images to represent you professionally. They are used for your public profile with Diversecity Models, for submissions to brands and clients, and for promotion through our social media channels and newsletter features. This ensures consistent and professional visibility while supporting your career development.
